We marked this day on Tuesday, March 23 in 3rd C grade by reading short stories.
Marina Lončar read us a short story "Hands" with which she participated in the competition of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans for the best short story about the Homeland War for high school students. Melani Živković read her story "Caramel", and Vanessa Frankić read the story "Hospital Windows". The students wrote these stories under the mentorship of Professor Anja Gligora, who listened to their performance with other students in the class.
In the second part of the program, we listened to the stories of Zadar high school students from the collections "Midnight Party at School" and "Gilera is the Law" edited by a former professor at our school, doctor and short story writer, Mirko Jamnicki Dojmi, published by our school. The stories of their choice from these collections were read to us by Petra Vrsaljko, Lucia Šimac, Vanessa Frankić and their class teacher, Professor Helena Bekić.
The organizer of the event, librarian Tanja Serdarević, also attended the celebration of World Storytelling Day.
