Project title: Improving the infrastructure of the Medical School Ante Kuzmanić Zadar - regional center of competence in the health sector - KK.09.1.3.01.0017
Short description of the project: The project holder is Ante Kuzmanić Medical School Zadar, which was appointed a regional center of competence (RCK) in vocational education in the health sector in July 2018 by the Decision on the appointment of regional centers of competence in vocational education (CLASS: 602-03 / 18- 03/00117, REGISTRATION NUMBER: 533-05-18-0047, Zagreb, 20 July 2018). In the 5-year period for which it has been appointed a regional center of competence for the area of 5 counties (Istria, Primorje-Gorski Kotar, Karlovac, Lika-Senj and Zadar) with the possibility of reappointment, the School will focus on improving existing programs in accordance with modern the needs of the labor market and the economy with the introduction of new education and training programs.
The school implements the project in partnership with its founder, Zadar County and the Medical School in Rijeka, and with associates - Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts - Zadar County Chamber of Crafts; Croatian Employment Service - Zadar Regional Office; Biograd na Moru High School; Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Fizio Vita d.o.o.
The project provided funds for the adaptation and extension of the Zadar Medical School at a new location, the building of the former High School dormitory, which would be completely relocated to the Medical School. This location is a justified and logical choice for the relocation of the Medical School because in the immediate vicinity are health facilities that serve as a training ground for the School - Zadar General Hospital and Zadar General Hospital Polyclinic. As the students of the school perform professional practice in these institutions on a daily basis and attend classes at the same time, the spatial proximity between the institutions is necessary, which is ensured by this relocation of the location of the School. In the partner school - Medical School in Rijeka, the planned project activities include infrastructure works and equipment. It is planned to arrange and adapt the school premises within the Clinical Hospital Center Rijeka.
Project activities are gathered in the following elements: 1. Preparation of project and technical documentation of RCCs in VET and partner public institutions; 2. Works on upgrading, reconstruction, renovation and adaptation of facilities for RCCs in VET and partner public institutions for VET; 3. Professional supervision of works for RCCs in VET and partner public institutions; 4. Procurement of specialized equipment and education on the use of specialized equipment for RCCs in VET and partner public institutions for VET; 5. Independent financial audit of the project; 6. Horizontal activities; 7. Project management; 8. Promotion and visibility
