A project called "COVID-19 and I in class" was held in the premises of our school throughout September. The project was designed by teachers Petra Karaga and Ivana Lapčić, and carried out in collaboration with fourth and fifth grade students in the field of general care nurse / general care medical technician.
The aim of the project was to acquire new knowledge about the new situation related to the spread of COVID-19, and to acquire new skills in the direction of responsible behavior in order to prevent the spread of disease and reduce the possibility of infection associated with COVID-19 (proper use of masks, disinfectants for hand hygiene and proper maintenance of social distance).
Students Marcela Đurić, Anđela Vrsaljko, Barbara Chiara Mrkić, Božica Glasnović, Dorotea Dešković, Ahmet Hirkić, Anđela Koton, Rozalija Demo, Sabrina Stahl under the mentorship of the project leader acted as educators within the community, school, first, second and third grade students.
The project enabled us to better build interpersonal relationships, gain greater self-confidence, new knowledge and skills.
The workshop that rounded off the project and its results will be displayed on the school board on October 15 on World Hand Hygiene Day.
We thank all project participants, students and teachers!
