Celebrating Disability Day at our school

After declaring the United Nations the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December, the Human Rights Commission, in a resolution of 5 March 1993, called on Member States to emphasize the commemoration of this date in order to achieve equality in the enjoyment of human rights and participation. people with disabilities in society. According to the Register of Persons with Disabilities of the Croatian Institute of Public Health, in the total population of the Republic of Croatia persons with disabilities make up 12% of the population. This day is celebrated in various ways around the world, from art exhibitions promoting the artworks of people with disabilities to protests aimed at highlighting the difficulties of daily life for people with disabilities. So, we students of 3 a, 3 b and 4 b grades of Ante Kuzmanić Medical School decided to mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities. On this occasion, we organized our mini-conference, organized an exhibition of thematic posters and invited Mrs. Marija Ljubicic, Master of Nursing and author of the book Health Care for Persons with Disabilities, Josip Skara, Prof, and Gabriela Marin, Prof. who shared their scientific and professional experiences. Many students and teachers of the School attended the ceremony. The fun part of the program was magnified by Mary, Lara and Ahmet. After the ceremony, the students were given a suitable reception.
