The World Day of the Sick

The World Day of the Sick, celebrated each year on 11 February, in many countries around the world, the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lourdes. It was established by Pope John Paul II. 1992 to draw attention to the patients and their problems. The purpose of this day is to remember and thank all those who care for patients, such as health and non-health workers and many other professionals and volunteers who work with nobility care about the needs of the sick. The World Day of the Sick is an opportunity to remind the rights that everyone has when he is in the role of patients. The Pope's message on the occasion of the 21st World Day of the Sick is "Go and do likewise!"
Students of the first, third, fourth and fifth grade Medical School Ante Kuzmanić in Zadar and this year are traditionally participated in the celebration of World Day of the Sick in the house for the elderly and disabled, the Home for mentally ill adults and Zadar General Hospital, together with the principal Davor Vidakovic, secretary Ruzica Marusic and teachers Milena Modric, Helena Ukalović, Anita Miskovic, Sonja Sare and Jelena Kevrić, attended the Holy Mass. After the Holy Mass took place socialize with patients and visiting patients in their hospital rooms, and they were distributed symbolic gifts.
