Students 4a and 4c spent Saturday on a one-day trip to Zagreb. Temperature and weather forecasts were not on our side, but in spite of that, we got together at 7:45 am in front of the school where we went by bus to the destination. After we had passed the tunnel Sv.Rok we had a completely different atmosphere, there was only a whiteness around us, a little and a little worry about how we would stay crumpled in the snow, to experience the other version of the train in the snow, but our coach was full of experiences and a lot of patience , and we are happy to come to Zagreb.
After arriving at the station in Zagreb, we started by tram on Trg Ban Josip Jelačić Square and walked towards the Grič tunnel. The Grič tunnel is located beneath Gradec (Griča), which connects Mesnička and Radićeva street, and vertically extends into three places in Ilica and one in Tomićeva street to the south. The tunnel is 350 meters long, largely 3.2 meters wide and 5.5 meters wide in the central part. It was opened to the public in July 2016, although it was previously open as a shelter for the citizens and a place of cultural events during the Homeland War. After leaving the museum, we stepped into the past times of Charles Dickens. We reminded them of almost film scenes as well as titles and quotations of old but also contemporary fairy tales and novels, from the Little Prince to the Story of the Ages ...
After the tour of the tunnel Grič we had the free time we used for walking around the city, shopping, enjoying the holiday atmosphere that fills all of Zagreb and gives it a special spell ...
On the way back from Zagreb, the weather forecast did not support us because of the cold, but we raised the temperature with a cheerful song that followed us to the final arrival in Zadar.
