On the occasion of World Kidney Association of Dialysis and Kidney Transplants organized action of measuring blood sugar and blood pressure on the People's Square. Measurements were conducted by students 5a and 4a Class Medical School Ante Kuzmanić under the supervision of a teacher of vocational subjects Milena Modric, Ana Lukanović Grgurović and Sonja Sare. The purpose of the campaign is raising public awareness about kidney diseases, kidney transplantation and organ donation.
The aim of celebrating World Kidney Day is to raise awareness of a vital role in the preservation of kidney health and reduce the incidence of kidney disease and its harmful effects on the whole organism. The intention was to show that chronic kidney disease common, harmful and treatable.
