Organized by the Croatian Association of Nurses and Technicians in Zadar, the First Professional Meeting of the Society for Orthopedics and Traumatology was held, and the fourth set of the Society of Medical Technicians - Gypsy. Fourth and fifth grade students accompanied by their teachers attended the ceremonial opening of the series and lectures held at the Bura hotel company Falkensteiner on Borik. The meeting was officially inaugurated on October 12, 2010, at 11 pm with a welcome speech by Maria Skalic, the chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Expert Group and distinguished guests. Thirty lectures and three workshops on immobilization of the fracture and surgical wound care were held at the meeting. Our school students have had the opportunity to see that besides formal education, nursing requires constant education. As pointed out in the greeting speech "if we do not make progress in nursing every week, every month and every year we come back". By creating these words, Florence Nightingale encouraged and obliged nurses / technicians to continue their education. Lectures of the invited lecturers were an excellent opportunity to spread the knowledge and skills of our students and teachers. Sonja Šare, a teacher
